Research Strategies has a national reputation as a Random Digit Dial (RDD) Recruiter.  The rationales for seeking-out and using an RDD sample for your Legal Focus Group/Mock Trial are:

  • Using RDD gleams out people who have attended multiple legal focus groups. With frequent exposure, these individuals become self-schooled on how to answer screeners.  These potential respondents have the inclination to influence the group’s findings by their previous experience.
  • RDD recruits are “Fresh,” they do not have the tendency to influence the sample with any preconceived ideas or experiences.
  • RDD recruits provide more of a closer match to the sample area’s demographics and lifestyle profile.
  • RDD recruits allow the sample to include the outer townships and counties from the sample area, presenting a true geographic profile that are typically not reached by database recruits.
  • RDD recruits provide a higher degree of confidentiality, reducing the likelihood of networking influences, which might provide information to opposing law firms.

Besides recruitment, Research Strategies’ assists clients with other Legal Focus Group/Mock Trial support including:

·         Site Location
·         Site Coordination (Rooms & Catering)
·         On-Site Hostess Support
·         “Air Quality” Audio/Video Crews
·         Other Technical Logistics

Research Strategies maintains a database of hotels, conference facilities and Focus Group facilities throughout the United States suitable for Legal Focus Groups/Mock Trial procedures.  Access to this information is available to our clients at no charge.

Research Strategies conducts Community Attitude Studies (CAS) using a SPSS 17.0 program. The primary feature of this software includes:

  • Question Labels are expanded to read each full question. All you have to do is point the mouse at the column header and it will display the full question.
  • All the Response Labels can now be listed in columns in SPSS data. The answer will be displayed on the Data View Tab, and rather than seeing a numeric answer, you can see the actual answer typed out, if that is your preference.
  • Allows us to show the duration of the interview in seconds.
  • In addition to the completed interviews, all terminating questions and midterms will be sent to you indicating each specific ZIP Code.

Research Strategies develops sampling methodology guidelines that fall into compliance with the Marketing Research Association and the Council of American Survey Research Organizations.  Research Strategies’ samples are created in-house, using United States Postal Service data that is updated every six (6) months.  These samples are weighted by residential ZIP Codes, providing the research with an accurate demographic and geographic profile of the court’s district or other sample area.
